So what I love most about this recipe is that you can basically do nothing wrong (except put the dried fruits in the oven) (they’ll burn, obviously, not obvious enough for me though apparently)
Other than that, you can basically just play around with the ingredients and quantities, and it’s gonna end up tasting great no matter what 🙂
Dry ingredients:
- Oats
- Sunflower and Pumpkin seeds
- Chopped almonds and pecans
- Any other nuts and seeds you have, such as cashews, brazil nuts etc
- Coconut Flakes
- Dried Cranberries, Mangoes, Apricots, Dates, Raisins, as well as any other dried fruit!
- Chopped Dark Chocolate
- Cinnamon, Nutmeg, whatever Spices you’re feeling!
Wet Ingredients:
- Coconut Oil (Canola or any other flavor neutral oil would work, just don’t use Olive)
- A syrup, such as Maple, Coconut, Rice, Agave.. whatever you’re feeling
- Optional: A Nut or Seed Butter
- Omitting the oil completely and substituting it for nut/seed butter works as well!
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Mix the Wet and Dry ingredients, except for the dried fruit and chocolate
- Bake for 10-15 mins, or until golden brown
- Add the Dried Fruit, wait for it to cool down if you wanna add chocolate
- Done!
Any mix will be good, but I personally love a few specific mixes!
